Hi beautiful people!
How is everyone? I know its kinda been a while since i posted...i have been a test taking machine for the past week...remember im a PA school student, so ya welcome to my life! So now I finally have a moment to breathe and well, asy hello to u guys! Now if u havent caught on, anyone who takes time to either write a blog or put vids on fb on makeup is usually pretty addicted and obsessed with it. I'd say my degree of obsession is actually pretty low compared to some of these other ppl. I mean i dont have drawers and drawers of maeup..cant afford it anyway, and like i dont wear makeup everyday. But anyhoo, whoe tangent...so anyhoo i have bought some more makeup products since we last chatted and id like to tell u what my 1st impressions r...so here we go:
1) Covergirl Classic color blush in 540 rose silk.Ok so here's the dealio, its actually pretty good. The blush actually comes off rhe compact and i like the color alot. its basically that peachy pink color that has been the rave for a while as universally flattering. The posterchild for this shade is like NARS orgasm color..ya horrible name right? like i know we're in the 21st century but like common, some class right? wuetver, anyhoo that shade is great. I got it alot cheaper with this product. The thing u gotta be careful abt though is that alot comes off on the brush so make sure to blow of shake some off ur brush before applying so u dont end up lookin like a clown. Then of course if u want more, add a bit more. Its called building, adding pigment in small amounts so you have more control. Omg funny story though, when i went to try and figure out how to close the compact (notice the blush is showing in the package) i couldnt figure out how to do it for the life of me since the top is like attached on a hinge...oh it was cra cra. finally my roomate figured it out..so thats a small drawback, dont feel bad if ur stumped like me. hee hee

2) e.l.f Professional 9 piece Brush collection: I actually had one of the brushes in this set before i got all 9 and i use is it all the time. its the Defining eye brush, its amazing!! So far i have only used that brush and tried the blusher/bronzer brush. Its pretty good but its smaller and has less hair/bristles than i thought it would. However, this set is great becaue if ur on a budget like me, e.l.f if u didnt already know is basically one of the least expensive brands out there wiht still some quality products. Mots of their stuff is like a 1.00 a piece. I paid a "whopping" 15 bucks for 9 brushes!! that like less than how much u could pay for one brush at sephora or mac!

3) Neutrogena Advanced Acne Therapy System: So like a normal girl, i got acne after highschool....lol ya so my skin has been breaking out alot lately i think from stress from school... and other produvcts on their own werent helping, so i resorted to a 3 step system. and so far i like it. It has a face polishing cleanser, an acne lotion, and a moisturing, calming lotion with spf 15. Ladies, WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY!!!!!! It is so imporatnt. First of all if u wanna just be vein, ur going to look worse than a wrinkled raison by the time ur 35 if u never where sunscreen. 2ndly, yes coming from the PA student, skin cancer is no joke! its really dangerous and can happen to anyone, especially fair skinned beauties, and its juts not worth it! You can DIE from skin cancer. ok enough of that...that is whats in the kit. its 20 bucks, i think the same as proactive, but its right in ur pharmacy like right aid and cvs. I have only used it twice so far and i think my skin is getting better already! the only thing is is that the face wash stings a bit when u firts use it. buts its really no that bad. oh...and dont forget to put suncreen on ur EARS AND BACK OF NECK. those places r forgotten alot.

4) Maybelline Lash Stilleto ultimate length mascara waterproof: It works pretty well. my lashes don't clump and they do look longer. It is not a good voluminiser though if u want more voluminous lashes. Don't know how waterproof it really is because by the end of the day i still get some racoon eye action going on...uuhhg! if anyone has some great tips for me on how to prevent that lemme know asap! :)

Hey children,
ya i sometimes like just sayin that so dont get all defensive i know ur (Not all) hee hee children but anyhoo. Soooo i know this blog is supposed to be abt beauty but u know what peeps, this is my blog and so really i can write abt wutever i want right? sooo for all the women out there, yep im gonna talk abt it...PMS!!! yep. I got it soo bad this time. I am only a few days away and lemme tell u. i am so freakin emotional. Truth is i am very sensative anyway, but like evrything set me off u know. so ya thats been happening and also, does this happen to u? u get so freagin clumsy!!! like no joke, just taking some peanut butter out of the jar, like i always do, and seriously the next thing i knew it flew out of my hands and there was a legit PB eruption in my kitchen!! like wtf, all over the place. ya pretty nasty, TG for clorox wipes, they r great! so ya just felt like shring that with ya'll,, expressing the woes of being a women before her days of menses. hee hee, ya noone says that anymore just sounds funny. (menses is ur period for those of u not in the know...). Oh i seriously cant make a decision to save my life, well i can but its really hard, see just did it, couldnt decide what to write! ahhhhhhk. k enough bitchin and moanin. gn ya'll

Hi guys!! a bit about me. I'm 24 years old, have 2 sisters, one is my identical twin. I am in PA (Physician Assistant) school right now and decided i need smoe kind of outlet to keep me sane from all the craziness grad school brings. I have loved makeup ever since i was prob 4 years old. I grew up wiht all sisters so inevitable i became very very girly. I remember putting on the play mekup my mom bought us and then i used to raid my moms vanity and put her makeup on all the time! They r some of the fondest memories i have. My mom started letting my twin and I wear a little makeup once we turned 13. At that point it was just what i call pink frosting makeup. u know, everything was pink and glittery! I didnt start to wear "real" makeup until around 10th grade when my mom (knowing how much i love makeup) won a whole set of sample makeup for me and i finally got the courage to put on eyeliner. And here i am today. I think since i ahve been playing wiht makeup since i was so young that that has helped me alot wiht just having good technique. Also, my mom is an artist so i think genetically that helps too :)like evryone else i get my inspirations and ideas from magazines and youtube, but in the end i always try to make it my own according to what ooks good and tasteful! yes that's the key. I love makeup but alot of these makeup tutorials out there are over the top in my opinion. It is not sexy to walk arnd wiht bright blue shaow all over ur lid! So I try to keep it simple, since i am not trained so that all i can really do, none of my looks will have 100 steps to follow. But i also do experiment and like to try new things sometimes. So this is for me as much as it is for you guys. This can be like a forum too, so i want feedback and advise from u guys too :) Enjoy,

5 products I regret buying

Hi wonderful people!!
So today i'd like to discuss the products i regret buying. Thank G-d I have learned over the years what stores have a return policy for used or tried makeup, so i haven't lost so much money, but its still annoying to have to return a product u had such high hopes and expectations for. That's another thing. Whatever happend to laws against false advertising? Cosmetic companies r champions at it! Most of the time its all complete BS and the product is just as crappy as iy was before the company said they improved and and bla bla bla. So anyhoo, here r a few products that i bought and returned or lost in my room somewhere (lol). 

1) Lip Tar by Obsessive compulsive cosmetics: First of all...what the hell kinda name is Obsessive compulsive cosmentic??? ya i get the idea, like ur obsessed wiht makeup...but idk it just rubs me the wrong way, like OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) is like a real serious issue and if ppl have it it can be debilitating. So it would actually be really bad if somone was OCD abt makeup. anyhoo, ya really dumb product! claims it lasts a looooong time, BS, comes off right away. also, uber annoying to use cuz its in a tube and then u use like a little brush to apply it and u cant put too much or ull like like a clown....not convenient at all. It is very highly pigmented, so thats a plus, but i really bought it for the "claimed" staying power and yep, comes right off. BUT actually, if s/o does get this product and uses over their brand lip primer, lmk if it stays then becasue then all i said was BS cuz i used it over a diff lip primer (that was crap).
 

2) Wet n Wild eye makeup remover: Holy cow!!!! seriously, if ur gonna make a product to remove EYE MAKEUP u should maybe make it so it doesnt BURN UR EYES!!!! like wtf, totally burns. wutevs enough said right? like why would u buy an eyemakeup remover that u cant put on ur eye wihtout burning them?

3) Maybelline "Fit me" blush:  Ya, total and utter crap! just crap! like not so cheap, and the blush barly even came off the compact!!you think its all fancy shmancy with its "fit me" packeging. nope, just garbage!

4) drugstore brand bronzers: sorry im not so specific on this one. i belive the two brand were wet n wild and covergirl. anyhoo, im not really a fan of bronzer in general. It always looks really harsh on my skin and my face just looks muddy. OHHH and PLEASE DO NOT APPLY BRONZER ALL OVER YOUR FACE!!! YOU LOOK LIKE AN UMPA LUMPA!!  and if u dont know what umpa lumpa's are, they r little ppl in the original charlie and the chocolate factory movie who r short w/ green hair and ORANGE skin. You look rediculous!! vronzer is not meant to be applied to ur whole face. If u do it right (which the truth is its always hard for me to do) it is really for contour or a radiant glow affect and u place it where the sum usually hits ur face. so ya, so far i havent found the right one for me, or maybe im juts not getting the hang of it. but i dont reallly like bronzers. 

5) Maybelline Eye studio: yep another maybelline product. truth is i have a diff trio from them that i really like, but for some reason this quad, the quality is so terrible, the pigmenattion is aweful very dissappointed. I belive it also claimed like a very dramatic intense color palette. ya FALSE.

well thats all for now folks. Now these products may work for you...but they just didnt cut it for me. So take what you want from this post and enjoy :)

Hi everyone!!

This is my first ever blog!! i know, its only 2012, where have i been? well ya, i didnt really like the howle idea of bloggin at first but blogs have come a long way since they  firts came out and i thought why not give it a try already! So inferring form the title of the blog, ye p u got it,, im going to be focusing my posts on beauty. this blog will really only focus on makeup and maybe some skin and face products, but no hair or nail stuff just cuz those areas r not whre I'm strongest. well the truth is i can do a great face of makeup but Good Luck with the hair if u know what i mena...funny what talents G-d throws at you u know. Its funny, cuz i actually am an identical twin, but she's really good with hair and I'm not, funny right? Anyhoo...shall we get started then. My first post is just going to be a sort of review and or random comments on some makeup rpodcuts i really like and I may metion some that I was really dissappointed with. I hoep to acually post some written tutorials soon with pictures but i am still wokring out the logistics (like actually getting a camera!! that would help right?) btw, im writing this at 12:30am so if i sound a little goofy thats why. k so the list begins, enjoy chicas! (and chicos, for any gentleman inetrested).

What I like:

1. Bare Minerals "Round the Clock" waterproof eyeliner:So i actually loooove all barminerals products. all their stuff just feels luxerious and like amazing quality. and unlike other high end stuff that is really expensive and then u  get and say like sooo not worth it, their stuff is worth it!! Its lasts forever and like i said such good quality. So ya I have been looking for a high quality liner that wouldnt smudge because eyeliner smudges on my eyes really easily and then i get that nasty racoon effect. This stuff is AMAZING!!! Firts of all, you barely have tp press it onto ur eye and it juts glides, literally glides right on. the pigment is flwless and its a pencil! I have never used pencil before cuz their pointy and yuck, (and being airheady me i bought these not even checking if they were pencil lol) but i dont care. they r not pointy ouchy they r amazing!! def def worth it.
2. NYX for your eyes only palate sexy blue eyes: So if u havent guessed, yep i have blue eyes. the truth is, this palet has alot of blue colors, which i dont know how great blue is at exentuating blue eyes...but i dont really care, they r really good quality, great pigments, beautiful colors. Their navy blue is so beatiful i love using it. Their highlight color is aso great and i love it so much that im basically out of it cuz i would just use that and no the rest of the palate. So ya, well pigmented but not too much and great array of colors. Ill try to name them as best i can (dont have the box anymore)Top row: navy blue,medium blue, black, light blue, grey. bottom row: hihglight shade(ivory-very very light yellow,bronze, amber/brick,light brown, gold.
3. Physicains Formula "Happy booster" natural: This is one of the best blushes i have gotten from the drug store. I actually dont love the color jsut because i think its a bit harsh on my skin tone (eventhough i wear it everyday,still looking for a new color for my skin, any suggestions much appreciated, lol). BUT it is very well pigmented, not too much either. I have bought so many drugstore blushes that r horrible, they barly come off the pot at all, this is great, comes off, not too much, awesome!and ya idk if i really makes me happy...lol but the packeging is really cute and i love that it has like in the actual blush litlle hearts and stuff.
4. Laura Geller Dream Creams concealer and Highlighter palate in porcelain/fair: Sych a great product! you get 3 diff shades of concealer plus a highlight shadein one compact. very very convenient.Its great for when ur skin chnages wiht the seasons so u dont have to buy a bunch of diff products and they blend together to get ur perfect shade.  I mix and match them all the time. The only thing is that i would suggest using a primer unedrmeath because the formula can get a bit cakey under the eye if ur skin gets dry there somtimess (like me). so unfotunately the quality is not amazing but its a great idea and maybe ill write to her and she can just jazz up the formula and all would be well :)
5. Urban decay eyeshadow primer potion: This stuff really works!! it really is a potion :). I have used other primers, this is the best hands down. ya its kinda pricy but well worth it. I know ur not supposed to sleep wiht makeup...but im guilty of doing it sometimes and the next mornig ALOT of the eyeshadow is still there!!!well worth it, get it use it the end :)oh and i have the one in the purple container, its a matte nude finsih.
